Conditions report from SOVTA
You may or may not be familiar with the backcountry zones managed by fellow CTA affiliate, SOVTA. They manage several areas, Dover Town Forest, Horace Hill, Crosstown, and Stratton Town Forest. I've skied DTF many times and it is a great spot close to Mt Snow with prettty tight tree skiing---definitely a fun place to check out. I have not yet skied the other zones, so can't speak directly to them....
Steve Petrik just sent this conditions update this afternoon:
We hope everyone is having a great president's week. The trails are in great shape for as little snow as we have received. The Backcountry Zones still could use a bit more snow but there is the perfect amount for getting out and exploring the woods and low angle shots.
Crosstown Received multiple grooming laps on Monday evening and The Stratton Town Forest was Also groomed on Monday afternoon. We plan to go back out on Friday evening to groom both.
Saturday night we will be hosting our Full Moon Hike at Crosstown. It looks like the weather is going to cooperate with us this weekend with a bit of snow Friday and cold temps through the weekend. We will send out an update friday evening

Thanks Andy for this update.
I am fond of this site and find that there are any a few of us looking at it. This year is a good trail run. Perhaps we can promote it further in the newsletter. Are WMBA folks communicating on face book instead?
