CONDTIONS REPORT

Dutch hill 2/18/24

Got up there around 130pm, the drive from Greenfield said it all, pretty thin snowpack for most of the way. But there was enough to get some nice turns in some sections. Plenty of base to skin up and about 4-6" of light powder on top of soft base. First run down yankee doodle, the top was wind blown hard pack but the lower 2/3 was fantastic powder turns though you had to be alert for the occasional obstacle. Second run not so good, I decided to hit the vista glade which looked great at the top shown in the pic, but as soon as I dropped off the top the snow was gone and it was super thin hard pack that i was now committed to get through with powder resuming on the lower part of the glade. I wouldn't hit that run until another big storm comes. My splitboard will need a little ptex TLC after that. Overall there is adequate riding, but until some more snow I would stick to the area between lift line and connector, be on your toes and don't bring your delicate skis/board.

I had heard from another source the same exact conditions report---Windmill is also really bare. We need at least one good solid storm this winter please!
