Have you ever taken a Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course, but wanted more focus on backcountry skiing and cold weather scenarios?
Well, look no further! Because we're offering exactly this specialized workshop the weekend of Dec 4th thru Dec 6, 2026 at Stump Sprouts in Hawley, MA.
Friday evening covers backcountry skiing-specific emergencies (3-4 hours).
Saturday/Sunday is dedicated to WFA/CPR (16-hour) certifications with an emphasis on cold weather scenarios (9am-5pm).
Overnight accommodations are available on-site, so keep it simple and stay local to enjoy the hiking trails, explore our new WMBA zone, or just soak up the evening view from the back patio!
WFA and CPR certifications are taught by the Institute for Wild Med.
Friday 'Backcountry Ski Emergencies' will be led by National Ski Patrol member and professional paramedic, Marc Burdick.
Cost: $400/pp
